The Stig Revealed 21st January, 2009

TopGear’s Tamed Driver Outed

He is............The Stig

He is............The Stig

I’m not going to tell you who it is.  The enigma of The Stig is too important to ruin.  If you do want to know who the tamed driver is click here.  If not join me as I ask why anyone would want to know so badly.

TopGear has lost its appeal in recent series.  Clarkson and co appear to be running out of ideas and, as funny as it may have been, a V6 attached to a food blender just wasn’t what the licence fee should be paying for.

Top Gear Challenge - Part 2

Vansdirect prides itself on the knowledge of our staff.  If they don’t know something about a van, it’s simply not worth knowing.   However, we realise that not all people are as keen about cheap vans as we are.  That’s why we’ve decided to spread the love of vans through another, more popular means.  We’ve already brought you part 1, now for your entertainment, here’s part 2 of the boys van challenge.

Remember, we don’t condone anything these petrol heads from the BBC do.  Do not try this at home.  Do not let your kids try this at home.

Van Challenge

On the first Friday of December 2008, we at Vansdirect thought we’d bring you a lesson in vans.  Some say that the programme is filmed using a mini-camcorder borrowed from those behind the Watergate scandal.  Some say that the camera was borrowed from Max Mosley.  All we know is that it’s called Top Gear.

In this clip the producers have challenged the boys to complete various tasks in their sub-£1000 second hand vans.  If nothing else, it demonstrates why you should buy a new van from Vansdirect.  A cheap van is not always a good van.  Please remember not to try any of the challenges at home.  Do not destroy your new van in a Hammond-style accident.

Top Transit Gear 17th September, 2008

Why do we love the transit?……

Vansdirect has already brought you the history of the much beloved Ford Transit - the commercial vehicle that others perhaps aspire to be, and the van that even the Germans would use to carry their bratwurst!  But, what truly make a nation sit up and take notice? What or who can make the dull interesting?  Where do you turn when you want to push a vehicle to its limits?  To the team at TopGear of course……..
