I’m not going to tell you who it is. The enigma of The Stig is too important to ruin. If you do want to know who the tamed driver is click here. If not join me as I ask why anyone would want to know so badly.
TopGear has lost its appeal in recent series. Clarkson and co appear to be running out of ideas and, as funny as it may have been, a V6 attached to a food blender just wasn’t what the licence fee should be paying for.
Some say he had a testicle for an eye and some said he had petrol for blood, all I know, is that he is The Stig. The Stig has embodies all that is good about being a petrol head. The Stig is to cars what Miles Davis is to Jazz, what Scorsese is to gangster films and what Yoda is to the force. The man (if that’s what he was) under the helmet isn’t important, it is what he / it symbolises to all those who love cars (vans, or anything else with an engine)!
So, if like me you think the world of 24 hour journalism has ruined yet another mystery, stop here. Don’t click on that link and turn away from all the other articles. Rejoice in everything that The Stig stands for.
