Vansdirect - out to dominate Google

Vansdirect - out to dominate Google

I’m not a natural marketeer - but then who is?!  However, the world of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is fascinating even for an outsider.  The lengths websites will go to to attract a customer and more importantly attract a customer before anyone else.

For some sites it’s probably a byproduct of what the site does - eBay’s content changes daily through user interaction and with obvious corporate input for example - for someone like Vansdirect it’s a little bit more complicated.

SEO is a commodity.  How we’re aiming to get Vansdirect to the top of any cheap vans or new vans search is not something I care to reveal in my blog, but any good SEO consultant will tell you.  Key words & link equity are only a couple of random factors I’ve had to learn in my efforts to increase van sales.

Who would have thought that promoting an already prominent van brand such as Vansdirect would be so difficult and time consuming.  However, the results are very rewarding.  In only a matter of months, Vansdirect has shot up the natural google listings under both “cheap vans” and “new vans” and “vans for sale” - all thanks to a simple SEO strategy focused around what Vansdirect does - selling cheap vans.

And whilst it may be time consuming to use van brands and other van related words to Vansdirect’s advantage, the savings are remarkable.  Vansdirect has undoubtedly saved money on Google pay-per-click - we no longer have to sponsor van brands, van words or key van phrases such as “cheap vans for sale“.  Vansdirect is on its way to dominating the Google search rankings for anything vans - well, with the notable exception of van trainers!

You may ask why I’d continue with a blog dedicated to my workings at Vansdirect - a perfectly valid question - and perhaps a question for your next SEO consultant.
